Pizza Wednesday

A longstanding BRE tradition, Pizza Wednesday is a great opportunity to strengthen our community by building and renewing friendships. Bring a blanket to sit on, and join us at Pizza Wednesday! Remember, all proceeds benefit Bird Rock Elementary.

 

Volunteers Needed!

Pizza Wednesday is run entirely on parent volunteers and we need your support!  Each week is dedicated to a specific class (each class has 2-3 weeks) so the responsibilities can be divided among the whole school.   Visit our MTK signup form to view available slots and sign up today! 

 

Pizza Wednesday shifts are split up by class in order to share the load.  But please sign up for any day that works for you.

*You must be logged into your MTK account to sign up.  No need to be pre-approved as a volunteer for this event as this is an after school activity.  Note that the new signup form is organized by grade and teacher.  The form/list is automatically expanded to show all dates, so please do a search for your teacher.

 

 

Punch Cards

Save yourself the hassle of having cash and get your kiddo a Pizza Wednesday Punch Card!  $30 will get you 10 slices and 10 drinks and/or snacks.  Visit our MTK Store to purchase your card today.  Bring your receipt to Pizza Wednesday to pick up your punch card.

VOLUNTEER GUIDE

COSTCO PIZZA PICKUP VOLUNTEER

  • Arrival & Timing: Arrive at the Morena Costco at 11:45pm.  Plan for ~15 minutes at pickup and ~15 minutes to drive back to BRE.

  • Pickup Process: Grab a flatbed cart and head to the Food Court window. Tell them you are picking up the prepaid order for Bird Rock Elementary (~26 pizzas). If needed, mention the name Josh Woertz.

     

  • Loading Tip: Walk your cart around to their side kitchen door (past the drink station) so they can load you directly, or they may hand them through the window.

     

  • Drop-off: Pull up to the South Gate behind the upper field (you can park right in this area). A volunteer will meet you there to open the gate and help unload.

 

PIZZA TENT  VOLUNTEERS

  • Arrival & Check-in:Arrive by12:00–12:15pm.  Check in at the front office to grab a visitor badge, then head up to the upper field.

     

  • Setup: Assist with setting up tables and snacks. Josh Woertz (Pizza Wednesday Chair) will be on-site to help assign roles, which typically include:

    • Cashiers

    • Pizza Servers

    • Drink Runners

  • The Flow: Service starts at 12:30pm! Expect an initial rush, a brief lull, and a second wave when the PrimeTime students arrive.
